Hip Opening Workshop with Agnes Trevillion
Saturday 16th November | 2.30 – 4.30pm
The aim of this workshop is to improve flexibility and mobility in the hip area whilst also allowing space for a deep release and an opportunity to let go of tension. We will begin with a more dynamic practice to warm and strengthen the body and explore active mobility and then move into some longer held Yin postures, working our way around the front, back, inner and outer hips.
Improving hip flexibility and mobility is not only beneficial for the hips themselves but also for the whole body. So, if you are someone who sits at a desk most of the day, or a runner or cyclist or simply a yoga student who enjoys releasing tension from the hips, this workshop will benefit you. As well as numerous anatomical benefits, it is believed that the fascia around the hips is able to store negative or heavy energy so in opening the hips it is possible to release on both a physical and emotional level.
