Our 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher Training is designed for curious, committed yogis who want to go deeper, whether to teach or simply to explore their own practice. Led by London’s most experienced and supportive faculty, this Yoga Alliance-accredited course blends modern knowledge with ancient wisdom.

Expect transformative growth, real-world teaching practice, and a strong connection to our vibrant yoga community. You’ll leave with confidence, clarity, and lifelong tools to guide others through the practice of yoga.

COURSE FORMAT: ONLINE THEORY + IN-STUDIO PRACTICE

Start with the theoretical part of the training during the cozy winter months by studying online. Then immerse yourself in the practical part, in person, at our lovely studio in Parsons Green during the spring and early summer.

ONLINE THEORY (Live + Recorded):

Tuesdays, 6–9pm | 13 January – 26 May 2026

IN-PERSON PRACTICAL TRAINING (at PYC London):

6 training weekends (Friday–Sunday) | 17th April – 5th July 2026

COURSE CURRICULUM

TECHNIQUE TRAINING / PRACTICE

Master a strong and balanced Power Yoga sequence. Gain a comprehensive understanding of traditional yoga techniques including Pranayama, Bandhas and Meditation. Learn how to apply these essential techniques into your practice and teaching.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
Learn how to put together a mind-blowing class for your students. Master sequencing, delivery, precise hands-on adjustments and how to bring an authentic and inspiring theme to your yoga classes. With teaching practice, direct feedback and coaching from the get-go, you will be bursting with knowledge and confidence.

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
Delve into anatomy and become inspired by the human body. Become confident in reading students’ bodies, and assisting and directing individuals based on their unique needs. Includes both physical anatomy and physiology (e.g. organ systems) and energy anatomy and physiology (e.g. chakras).

YOGA PHILOSOPHY, HISTORY AND TRADITION
Study yogic history and tradition to discover ancient teachings that are remarkably relevant in today’s reality. Develop and deepen your understanding of the philosophical texts that underpin the practices.

PROFESSIONAL ASPECTS OF YOGA TEACHING
Discover how to take your teaching beyond the training and make Yoga a successful and fulfilling career. Learn how to establish a professional and ethical framework from which to teach. Topics covered include: Accessibility and Inclusivity, Ethics for yoga teachers, The Business of Yoga, Marketing, Practical advice on financial models and pricing.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone with a desire to deeply enrich their practice and understanding of yoga. Whether you’re looking to teach yoga, or you’re inspired to go deeper in your own practice, this training will equip you with the tools to take that next step. 

Applicants must have a minimum of two years of yoga practice. If you’re not sure you meet the requirements, please book an information call.

ACCREDITATION

PYC Academy has met the stringent requirements of Yoga Alliance US, denoting the highest standards of yoga teacher training, and enabling our graduates to apply for RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) status.

Ready to join?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS…

What type of yoga is taught on the training?

Power Yoga is a vinyasa style of Yoga, that originates from Ashtanga. Each pose flows into the next in a sequence linking movement to breath.

Do I need to have an advanced practice to apply?

At least 2 years of Power Yoga experience is required but if you have a relevant background (e.g. dancer, gymnast), contact us to discuss suitability.

I have a regular practice but I'm not able to do arm balances or inversions. Will that be a problem?

You don’t need to have an inversion practice to apply. Our curriculum includes sessions to help you progress your advanced postures and confidently teach inversions.

Can I do the training just to develop my own yoga practice, rather than to teach?

Yes, although the course is designed to qualify teachers, some students take it to enhance their personal practice.

How many people are there in the course?

A maximum of 18 students is accepted per course.

Will I be expected to carry out any reading prior to the start of the course?

No, but you can start on the recommended reading list if you'd like.

What if financial circumstances are preventing me from joining?

We offer the option to set up a payment plan (10 instalments). You can also benefit from Early Bird rates, and we offer a 15% discount with a valid student card or 5% if you pay upfront. Inclusivity scholarships are also offered, contact us to explore options.

Do you have any early bird discounts?

Yes, you can use our Discount code TT26SUPER by 9th June for a Super Early Bird rate (if you pay in full, you get an additional 5% off with the code: TT26SUPER5). From the 10th June until the 9th September, use the Discount code TT26EARLY for an Early Bird rate (or TT26EARLY5 if paying upfront).

Do you provide the option to students to run community classes after graduation or anything similar?

PYC doesn’t offer community classes at the moment, but depending on your level, you may be offered cover opportunities or classes after the training.

Are there consequences if I have to miss any hour/session?

You’ll need to make up the time missed before graduating and there may be additional costs. Catch up in-person sessions will need to be arranged. Online Sessions are recorded, and you can catch up using the links posted in your Google Classroom.

Are there any exams at the end of the course?

There are no formal exams, your individual progress is monitored on an ongoing basis with regular feedback given. There are quizzes and an essay, which are both open book. On the final weekend, you have the option to teach a class to the group.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to the limited availability of spaces in the PYC Teacher Training Programme, no refunds will be issued except in cases of medical necessity. In such cases, a full refund will be provided, minus the £200 admin fee.
