Dharma Workshop – Hips Focus with Alix Inness
Saturday 23rd November | 2.30 – 4.30pm
A great opportunity to discover Dharma Yoga, a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s practice of classical yoga for over fifty years.
Join Alix for a complete Dharma Yoga practice, which will focus on opening our hips. The two-hour practice will start with breathing / pranayama techniques. The benefits of pranayama are considerable: from strengthening the lungs, stimulating digestion and purifying the nervous system to calming the mind and withdrawing the senses inwards.
The asana practice will be a complete practice involving sun salutations and all the main poses – standing, forward-folding, twisting, balancing and backbending postures. We will focus on mobilising our hips to access their full range of motion. Everyone according to their conditions!The workshop will conclude with a guided relaxation leading to a deep sense of calm and peace. The workshop is open to all-level practitioners but not complete beginners.
