Motivated by his daughter teaching yoga, Esteban discovered yoga at a later age. What started off a symbol of support for his daughter’s teaching career soon led him down a path of deeper understanding and appreciation for the practice, which eventually resulted him in successfully completing his yoga teaching training in Goa, India, in his 60s!
He is a regular practitioner and since completing his 200hr foundation in Ashtanga, he has specialised in teaching chair and mindful yoga, adapting traditional yoga poses and vinyasa flows to sitting or supported asanas using the chair for better adjustment, improved strength and reduced stress.
Esteban loves sharing and transmitting his own personal journey and passion for yoga, reminding those who may have given up their practice, or who think that starting yoga at their age isn’t possible, that yoga is for people of all ages, shapes and backgrounds; and that the heart of the practice is wellbeing and community.
